Hear for Norfolk is the working name for Norfolk Deaf Association (NDA), a charitable company founded in 1898. We work to improve the lives of people of all ages in Norfolk with all degrees of hearing loss. We achieve this by offering personal, emotional and practical support.

Our History

Founded in 1898

Founded over a century ago, Hear for Norfolk has a rich history of dedicated service to the community. From its inception, the charity has been committed to enhancing the lives of individuals facing hearing challenges in Norfolk and beyond. 

Over the years, Hear for Norfolk has evolved to meet the changing needs of people with all degrees of hearing loss, offering vital support, resources, and advice and information to empower individuals to lead fulfilling and connected lives. 

With a deep-rooted commitment to compassion and inclusivity, Hear for Norfolk continues to make a lasting impact on those affected by hearing loss.

As the CEO of Hear for Norfolk, I am proud to lead an organisation dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with hearing loss, their families and carers. Our charity is committed to enhancing emotional well-being, fostering communication, and improving the quality of life for those facing hearing and communication challenges. Through our services and projects we provide accessible and reliable support, practical assistance, advice, information and resources to empower individuals to navigate hearing loss with confidence.
